Today, Congressional Black Caucus Chair Marcia L. Fudge will introduce the CBC Alternative Budget for Fiscal Year 2014.

The CBC Alternative Budget, subtitled Pro-Growth. Pro-People. Pro-America., cancels the sequester and reduces the deficit. It focuses on creating jobs, strengthening vital programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, and on ensuring investments in education, workforce development, transportation and infrastructure are protected. The CBC Alternative Budget also includes a national strategy to increase economic opportunity for communities that have had a longstanding history of poverty.
