CBC Meeting with White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley

 

Washington, DC – Today, the Congressional Black Caucus met with White House Chief of Staff, Bill Daley for the first time this Congress. CBC Members spoke with Daley about the recent military action taken by the Obama Administration in capturing al Qaeda leader and founder Osama bin Laden, and commended the President and armed forces for developing and executing the successful plan. Additionally, members addressed issues concerning our nation’s most vulnerable communities including: the devastating impact of the recent tornadoes, the debt ceiling debate, job creation, public health, and several other issues. The first of many meetings with Chief of Staff Daley, this meeting also served as a prelude to the upcoming Caucus meeting with President Obama.
